Here's This Week's Flower Fact Friday
This week's Flower Fact Friday is brought to you by the sunflower! A classic summer favorite, the sunflower's head actually tracks the movement of the sun across the sky. This is a phenomenon known as heliotropism, which means "sun turn" in Greek. It allows the sunflower to receive the maximum amount of light and warmth, which in turn enhances the photosynthesis process and increases growth rates. Pretty smart!
